The Senior Developer is to act in a professional manner with all entities with whom there is contact.
This position reports to the Sr. Architect/ Project Manager and is responsible for reviewing and defining user requirements, designing and implementing infrastructure and solutions that are very secure, highly reliable, and responsive and of excellent quality to ensure the delivery of an exceptional result/product.
The position is responsible for the design and timely delivery, reliability, security, integrity and efficiency of the Hairitage Media Group products and systems.
ESSENTIALS
Tertiary degree in Computing
Exceptional understanding of data flows and very large data management systems/data warehousing
Exceptional in defining requirements and design of software using UML
Solid understanding of the MVC architectural framework
Expertise in designing software that uses (and in-depth hands on experience in using): Php, GWT, J2SE, J2ME, MySQL/Postgres, JavaScript, Ext Js, Ruby or Rails, Spring, Linux, Eclipse, XML, Ajax, XHTML, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, SOA, WebServices
Excellent understanding of and experience with Ant and Automated build suites (e.g. Cruise Control)
Good understanding of protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP(S), WAP, GPRS, HSDPA/3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
In-depth experience developing for social networking sites and mash up technologies
Some experience with Perl

Responsibilities of Front-End Web Developer:
Work independently and with a team to create JavaScript and HTML/CSS markup and templates with a strong focus on clarity, maintainability, and cross-browser compatibility

Participate in requirements gathering and functional specification activities, providing feedback on implementation feasibility as well as navigable prototypes/mockups
